The last-minute sales window for FIFA tickets opened Wednesday morning, and those hopeful to get tickets were reporting issues with the platform online.

You might encounter some issues with the online ticket platform, which caused soccer fans to wait a while on Wednesday morning.
The last-minute sales phase opened at 10 a.m. CT on FIFA’s website, but online reports of technical issues mounted Wednesday morning. This fourth phase, unlike the three previous ones, is a first-come, first-served window and not a lottery. This is the last opportunity to get tickets below the astronomical resale prices people have been seeing on the secondary market.
Ticket holders who have bought tickets in previous phases will also be able to see the seats that have been allocated to them via their FIFA account from April 1. FIFA encourages fans to check FIFA.com/tickets regularly, as tickets that are temporarily unavailable may become available again through the official platform. Tickets will continue to be released on a rolling basis, including same-day tickets for matches on occasion (subject to availability).

When reached by phone, FIFA would not comment officially on the incidents but referred to the message posted on the website, citing heavy demand.
FIFA reported that 500 million ticket requests were submitted worldwide in the third lottery sale phase. The demand for tickets showed once again in the heavy traffic to their website.
The FIFA World Cup kicks off on June 11, where host nation Mexico takes on South Africa.
There will be about 7 million tickets sold for the entire tournament, according to FIFA.
